New Youth Fitness Speed Training Program Coming to San Antonio

Local Fitness Professional Steve Payne Launches Several 1 Day Introductory
Speed Clinic’s at STAR Soccer Complex Near Morgan’s Wonderland

These are introductory level speed clinics designed to give young athletes a better understanding of the basic mechanics of sprinting, speed, agility and quickness. The course will cover things like arm drive, start and stop mechanics, linear and lateral speed, agility, mobility and quickness.

All clinics will be held on field #13 at the STAR (South Texas Area Regional) Soccer Complex near Morgan’s Wonderland in Northeast San Antonio at Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive, not far from IH 35.

The cost of these clinics is just $30 per athlete and all proceeds from these clinics will go directly to and benefit Morgan’s Wonderland, the world’s first ultra-accessible family fun park designed with special-needs individuals of all ages in mind. Funding from tournaments, clinics and special events at STAR Soccer enables Morgan’s Wonderland to admit individuals with special needs free of charge.

Dates, Times and Age Brackets

Athletes ages 6 to 9 – Saturday September 4, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Athletes ages 10 to 13 – Saturday September 11, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Athletes ages 14 and up – Saturday September 18, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
